Supersize my heart – The budding marriage of a MacDonald’s Manager | About

About

Hi my name is Ashley. I just got married last year to a wonderful man named Mike. I just got promoted as a manager in one of the biggest franchises in the United States, McDonald’s. I started as a cashier when I was still in college. I didn’t want to be one of those students with massive college loans so I tried to work while studying my major. Business management seemed like a great thing to study while working because I somehow knew what was going on in the higher ups and I was right there taking the clients’ orders.

So by the time I graduated, I was already available to be in a higher position. I later became a shift supervisor. It was a step up that I had expected. Some of my friends told me that I should consider moving away from my old workplace. But this was convenient for me. I learned a lot by being a McDonald’s employee. And it was where I met my true love.

Mike was not a big fan of burgers so it was only when our branch started serving the fish fillet burgers that he was actually able to come by and eat. I kept suggesting more things to him and soon enough he had started to gain some weight.

It was then that he waited for me after my shift and asked me if I wanted to exercise with him one of these days since it was my smiling face and suggestions that super-sized his heart.

Who would have thought that the way to a man’s heart was through a fish fillet burger?
